This summer, a team of Duke students will travel to Togo for eight weeks with the DukeEngage program. While there, our work will be centered around the issue of youth migration out of villages in the north. We will work with the Togolese people to learn more about the reasons behind this migration, and develop projects of our own that we hope will benefit the villagers. For more information on some of the projects we hope to undertake, visit our page on the DukeEngage website at http://dukeengage.duke.edu/immersion-programs/international-programs/togo
During our time in Togo, we aim to continually update this blog with the projects we undergo, challenges we may face, and all that we learn while living with a different culture and people. We hope you’ll enjoy reading about all that we encounter this summer!
